The Flame Haze & The Torch Aug 23, 2007
reviewed by TheReviewer
Wow!! This is amazing. What starts off to be similiar to Bleach turns out to be a unique piece. Right at the beginning, the watcher is thrown into action. A flame-haired girl named Shana appears on the scene and changes (or rather, balances) the world as we know it. The music is stunning. The opening song Hisoka no Sora is a catchy tune that gets your heart pumping as the opening sequence hurries on to the series. The animation is at it's best with this work. It's fluid and graceful especially good since that's needed with the plenty of action scenes that will be witnessed. It only seems to enhance to enjoyment of the series. With the voice-acting, I'm rather impressed. I'm not big on the English dub, but the Japanese voices really suit the characters. The annoying characters like Margery Daw's book might be a bit... annoying, but it works since that's what its character reflects: annoyance. This is one of the best!

Shakugan no Shana Nov 29, 2007
reviewed by Crenshinibon
Shakugan no Shana (literally Shana of the Blazing Eyes), is an excellent little series that is actually much more original than it orginally seems. The characters all have a fair amount of depth, especially Shana herself and her struggle to understand human emotion. The action is either well-drawn or well-written (depending on which medium you choose for the series), and the general ideas behind the series are excellent as well. There is really nothing to complain about.

The Most Intelectual Anime Ever Jan 19, 2009
reviewed by Miranda
I absolutely LOVE this anime! Its packed with awsome fighting styles and tecniques; also with amazing terms like Torch and Flame Haze. The artistic style is really amazing and nicely animated! The anime is packed full of great events and cute scenes, also packed with Shana and Kazumi's battle against eachother to win Yuji's heart. The villains and other Fire Hazes all have unique abilities that is fun and also stunning to watch. The twists and turns in the series are just great and formatted with great textures and detail. Shana, the flaming-haired blazing eyed hunter, is incredibly drawn and when she activates her seal spell, her normal brown hair and eyes glows with life as she changes with firey hair and crimson eyes. Truly an amazing look for a character. I really think that anyone would love this anime, its great or anyone! Its full of action, adventure, drama, and romance! A great pack in one!
