the best ever!!! Jun 04, 2007 reviewed by Koneko
Oh I just LOVE this series. ^_^ Its got alot of elements mixed into it that should appeal to a wide variety of people. There's an underscore or romance that plays again and again. Comedy to ease the seriousness. Action pops up unexpectedly. And oh so much cuteness!!

Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles is a Must Read for any True Manga Fan! Apr 29, 2008 reviewed by Lynn
At first I thought that this series may not be for me, because the characters seemed so young and their ages may reflect the possible subject matter. Plus, this series is about a collection of worlds, in which CLAMP's characters inhabit and from what I know of the two main characters: Sakura and Sayoran they are very young. I WAS WRONG! First of all, they have grown up for this series and the subject matter and storylines are intensly gripping. There is something for every type of manga reader: romance, great comedy, action, beloved characters in new and exciting roles, and touching drama. Some mangas just go on in a series of episodes, but Tsubasa is a true journey. Each book adds meaning and mystery to the storyline. Not only does Tsubasa create a very full, enriching world, but this series over laps with xxxHolic, which makes for an incredible twist. You do not have to read both series to understand, but I highly recommend reading both. In both series I have come to respect and dearly love each character and have cried for them. I have also laughed and smiled as well though. If you need a new manga to become addicted to, then this is beyond a doubt the perfect series for you! I own thousands of dollars worth of manga and this series is one of my very favorites.

A wonderful beginning... Feb 26, 2008 reviewed by Kakashi's Kunoichi (Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle Vol. 01)
To my mind, nothing proves that an artist has real talent more than if their work is still beautiful to look at without any color… CLAMP has some of the best artists there are in my opinion… Add an engaging story full of characters that you quickly come to care for, and you have a winner… That’s exactly what Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is! From the opening panel, the CLAMP team draws you into a fascinating tale that spans dimensions… A story filled with love, loss, courage, honor, adventure and just the right amount of fun! Volume One contains the first five chapters in this epic tale, in which Princess Sakura is stripped of her memories and the adventure begins. ( I don’t want to give anything away, so if you want to know the story you’ll just have to read it. ) I love the way Delrey presents their manga, and the information on this series in particular… They take the time to explain Japanese Honorifics, tell you a little about the creators and some of their past works, as well as offer character profiles and translation notes… You also get a short Japanese preview of Volume Two. Bottom Line: If you enjoy action mixed with romance and some comedy, then this series should be right up your alley… Beautifully illustrated, with a great plot, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Volume One is a fantastic addition to any manga collection!

Starting Another Adventure in CLAMP's worlds Oct 30, 2007 reviewed by TheReviewer
Where do I begin? If I have to give this series stars, I would have to supplied with an infinite amount because that's how much praise I have for this series.
I don't see an initial flaws. Stunning visuals, check. Three-dimensional characters, check check. Outstanding plot line, check check check. CLAMP really outdid themselves.
Starting out, this series holds a very cute and light theme. A boy who was orphaned was found by a father figure who studies ruins. A princess loses her memories, which are scattered to worlds outside of their own in the shape of feathers. Together, with a price, must go a find these feathers in order to restore the princess' memories. Joining them on their travels is a wizard named Fai D. Flourite and a samurai named Kurogane. Each come from their own respected worlds either consentual or not.
This is the gist of the manga. As a group, they search for the feathers in separate worlds that have their own plot, characters, and story. These worlds contain characters from other CLAMP manga like Chi from Chobits, CLAMP School Detectives, xxxholic, etc. Absolutely brilliant of CLAMP to include characters from previous series.
Behind the cuteness is a dark story, so to anyone who cannot stand the sight of blood or gore in the later part of series, I would suggest trying to stomach it anyway or you'll miss a glorious manga!
I have nothing bad to say about this manga. It has to be one of my favorites. It's wonderful and alluring. This manga sets itself apart from the rest with its characters and story line. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys adventure, fun, and good laughs.
(However, I would also suggest keeping up with Holic's story line as they interact with one another...)

Too cute for its own good... Feb 26, 2008 reviewed by Kakashi's Kunoichi (Tsubasa: Key Chain - Mokona)
One word pretty much sums up this Mokona Keychain, and that word is adorable!… The strap is made from a nice sturdy plastic that depicts Mokona in two cute poses from front to back… Mokona itself is done in thick metal with some fantastic enamel work on the front and a plain metal back. This is a terrific keychain for any Tsubasa fan, or anyone who just likes adorable things! Bottom Line: A wonderful item that’s both cute and sturdy. Carry it with pride!

The adventure continues... Feb 26, 2008 reviewed by Kakashi's Kunoichi (Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle Vol. 02)
The second volume in the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle saga is every bit as wonderful as the first manga release from this series… Once again the creative team at CLAMP displays their artistic and storytelling genius. ( I have to say that I love all of the cover art on the first three volumes that I own, but this one is my favorite so far! ) Volume Two continues the adventures of our dimensional travelers in the Hanshin Republic, that began in the first book of this series, with chapters six through thirteen… Will our heroes be able to locate the Princess’s feather? You’ll have to read it to find out. ( Remember, I don’t like to spoil things! ) Delrey provides us once more with an explanation of Japanese Honorifics and a brief bit of information about the creative team at CLAMP… Also included are new sections with info on some of CLAMP’s past works and new translation notes. ( I think the translation notes are a lot of fun. )… There is also an English preview for Volume Three. Bottom Line: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Volume Two is another terrific manga that would make a wonderful addition to any manga collection!

A new world and new adventure... Feb 26, 2008 reviewed by Kakashi's Kunoichi (Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle Vol. 03)
Volume Three of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle does not disappoint, as it eagerly offers up even more exciting storytelling and fantastic artwork!… CLAMP is probably my favorite manga creating team because the quality of their work is always top notch. This book contains chapters fourteen through twenty - one ( You did read volumes one and two, didn’t you? )… Chapter fourteen closes out the Hanshin Republic storyline and sends our heroes to another dimension… A world where an evil magician is using his power to terrorize an entire town…Will Syaoran and the others find one of Princess Sakura’s feathers on this strange new world? You’ll have to read it to find out! Once again, Delrey provides their nice explanation of Japanese Honorifics and the short bio on the creative team at CLAMP. ( These women like their privacy and I can’t say I blame them! )… You also get brand new translation notes and a Japanese preview of Volume Four. Bottom Line: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Volume Four is another winner that will make a terrific addition to any manga collection!

Don't get too excited Feb 06, 2008 reviewed by Isac
I'm going to say a good amount of the readers who are interested in Tsubasa are CCS fans who are coming back to get their Syaoran and Sakura fix. This is not a bad thing, it's the main reason I made sure I got it early, but if that's the reason you want it you're in for a unbearable wait. CCS fans aren't going to get the kind of dialogue and actions from their favorite characters for a long, long time into this series, so be sure to have a lot of time planned for this series, and if you're impatient you're going to be in for a long unpleasant wait.I would say more reasons why, but alas, spoilers.
Now, for those who are just looking for a new manga to read, Tsubasa is great. It's something that will keep you busy for a long while and has enough twists to continue to keep you interested in it. Start it soon.
