Sarasa and her new friend Hayato arrive in Kyushu only to find that Sakura Island has disappeared! To make things worse, they are immediately captured by pirates who plan to sell them off as slaves! On the pirate ship, they meet Chacha, the spirited female captain, and Zaki, her devoted first mate - and reunite with Old Kaku, whom Sarasa had feared dead. He had become part of the crew in expectation of her arrival. Sarasa proposes a duel with Chacha to convince her of her capacity as a fighter, and manages to force it into a draw. Shuri is forced to stay and sacrifice his battleship. Then, during the showdown between Shido's Navy and Sarasa, the ocean boils over as the sunken Sakura Island volcano erupts in their midst...
